I found out about the program at Capp St. through Courtney Fink (now director of SoEx) who used to Work for Capp St. until it was eventually absorbed by CCA. She told me an interesting story that the archives were (at one point) stored in the basement of the dorms at CCA's Oakland campus. The basement flooded. . and she had to freeze the documents to conserve them.
The entire (existing) Capp st. archive is (April 2004) housed in the CCA Oakland library. It includes photo documentation and various printed materials (contracts, press reviews, correspondence etc). I learned that the first "resident" at Capp St. was Bruce Charlesworth who was living in Minneapolis at the time. Considering I just moved to the Bay Area from Minneapolis. . it made me smile.
